From Coweta County Schools Press Release
The Coweta County Schools will end their academic year on Friday, May 25.
Baccalaureate services are being held on Sunday, May 20, for the graduating classes of all three Coweta County high schools. On Wednesday, May 23, West Georgia Technical College will recognize high school students earning certificates through dual-enrollment programs, and on May 24 through 26, over 1,500 graduates are expected to participate in commencement ceremonies at Coweta’s three high schools.
Attendees for this year’s Commencement ceremonies at Northgate, Newnan and East Coweta High Schools are encouraged to arrive early for parking at the three campuses.
East Coweta High School – which holds its graduation ceremony at 9 a.m. on May 26 – is encouraging attendees to use off-site parking at Lee Middle School, Willis Road Elementary School and Poplar Road Elementary School that morning, beginning at 7 a.m., and use shuttle buses provided to and from the ceremonies. Handicapped parking is available on the main campus, but those needing it are encouraged to arrive early.

Sunday, May 20 – Baccalaureate Services (all schools) Newnan High at First Baptist Newnan, 2 p.m.; Northgate High at Crossroads Church (Hwy 154), 2 p.m.; East Coweta High at Crossroads Church (Hwy 16), 3 p.m.
Wednesday, May 23 – Central Educational Center Dual Enrollment Graduation, at the Nixon Centre, 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 24 – Northgate High School Graduation, at Henry Seldon Field, 7:30 p.m. The Valedictorian is Spencer Thomas and the Salutatorian is Arthi Shankar.
Friday, May 25 – Newnan High School Graduation, at Drake Stadium, 7:30 p.m. The Valedictorian is Hannah Marriaga and the Salutatorian is Olivia Helm.
Friday, May 25 – Last Day of the School Year
Saturday, May 26 – East Coweta High School, at Shoemake Stadium, 9 a.m. The Valedictorianis Jenny Oh and the Salutatorianis Suji Han.
