From Special Reports

The Carnegie Library is celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Library Week April 9-13. Stop by the library during the week for trivia (with prizes!) and on Tuesday, April 10 for an Open House from 12 to 2 p.m. with snacks upstairs and tours available. The Carnegie will also feature staff book picks on its display shelving and doing a fun #bookface Instagram challenge.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries – school, public, academic and special – participate.
