The dedication of Senoia’s newest Little Free Library will take place on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at the Senoia Housing Authority Park.

The event is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Senoia, Coweta Association of Retired Teachers and the Housing Authority of Senoia.

Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world. Through Little Free Libraries, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds.

A Little Free Library is a small, freestanding box with 2 shelves that hold books, providing 24/7 access to encourage reading. Volunteers monitor and restock with mostly children’s books, thereby giving the reader a consistent supply of books. This will be the third Little Free Library that the Senoia Optimists have sponsored, currently with one at the Seavy Street Park and one on Main Street in Senoia.

Charlee with the newest Little Free Library to be dedicated on Sunday, October 28th. Charlee and her mom, Lisa, are from Tennessee and have donated countless books in support of the Little Free Libraries in Senoia.
